Trainers: John Goodsen and Michael Sahota

Kanban for Lean Software Development is quickly becoming adopted by Agile software teams as the next Agile software process since it much easier to adopt than Scrum. Kanban is a visual card system used to make intangible work visible and manage flow in the software development process. During this action-packed workshop you will participate in several interactive group sessions where you will have the opportunity to practice key concepts such as value stream mapping, recognizing waste, and visualizing flow.

Fri. Oct. 22
Room 1
Learning and Teaching with Agile Games
Trainers: Gino Marckx and Michael Sahota

"Learning by doing" is what makes games an effective training tool. This workshop builds on the same principle. We will play a variety of games to teach Agile and Lean practices so that participants can learn through playing. People new to Agile will learn concepts in a deep way through the games. Experienced practitioners or coaches will get new insights playing the games and learn how to use them for their own training.

Room 2
Agile Analysis in Practice
Trainer: Patricia Mandarino, ThoughtWorks

Agile Analysis in Practice is a highly interactive learning workshop that builds on existing software development skills and instills specific practices on how to more effectively work with business and software development teams throughout the lifecycle of an Agile project. This course will help participants understand how to gather, express and manage changing business and technical requirements in an agile environment.
